Severe Weather Outbreak Today, Saturday, April 27

Storm Prediction Center Forecast for Severe Thunderstorms Valid Through 7 a.m. Sunday.

Much of the central and southern Great Plains is expecting a severe weather outbreak today and into the overnight hours.

Isolated supercells are expected over much of the enhanced and moderate areas shown in orange and red above.

The tornado threat is higher and more widespread then yesterdays.

The Ozarks will experience these storms mostly this evening and overnight. While a few isolated supercells may impact areas just west of Springfield earlier in the day (late afternoon, early evening), the main event appears to be an organized severe thunderstorm line which will march from Kansas and Oklahoma overnight.
