A slow-moving system will align with ample humidity and instability to give the Ozarks several days of severe weather possibilities.
The period of concern is Friday (4/26) through Sunday (4/28).
The forecast for Friday is a broad area of Slight Risk as forecast by the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) which includes all of the Ozarks. A larger threat will exist to the north of Springfield, north of Kansas City.
The severe storm threat could come from activity which will form on Thursday out to the west of the Ozarks and drift into the area. More uncertain is the extent to which new activity will form in the late afternoon and evening.
All forms of severe weather (damaging hail and/or wind, tornadoes) would be possible with this threat.
More possibilities for severe storms exist for this upcoming weekend as well.
