A severe thunderstorm watch has been hoisted for southwest Missouri.
The Storm Prediction Center has all of the area under a slight risk of severe weather today. It appears any tornado threat will be limited and more likely in portions of Oklahoma.
This time of year, bowing segments of severe storms are pretty common. That would be the case today as a cluster of thunderstorms in the Kansas City will move southeast into the watch area.
