The good news of the week are the forecast warmer temperatures and generally drier conditions.
As for tonight, higher humidity will be on the move into the Great Plains. Along the leading edge of this moisture, showers and thunderstorms will begin to develop.
These storms will mostly be “elevated” which means the bottom of the storms is higher off the ground. This has the effect of really cutting down tornado probabilities.
What these types of storm do produce is hail and perhaps a gusty wind situation.
All indications are for storms to break out over Kansas and perhaps Missouri toward morning and then move very quickly east and northeast on Tuesday.
