The environment for rotating storms in southwest Missouri into the evening hours is quite good.
This means another tornado or two is possible. We likely had one tornado earlier this afternoon just west of Fair Play with damage to two barns in that area.
Low level rotation indices are quite high over southwest Missouri and there is enough unstable air to support storms. The storms have managed to stay discrete (isolated) which tends to support tornado development.
Once a line of storms forms later this evening, the tornado threat remains and damaging winds become a larger threat.
