This weekend has thus far been very summer-like and will continue on that same track for the rest of today.
Upper eighties will be common once again in the Ozarks with moderate humidity for the time of year. A healthy south-southeast wind will blow over all of the area between 13-18 mph with some gusts higher.
There is a very small possibility of a pop-up shower or storm to the east and southeast of Springfield today. I wouldn’t let it cancel a plan!
By late this afternoon, a cool front will begin to spark showers and storms out over Kansas. This area will be knocking on the door of the area (western Missouri) by around midnight and will move in during the overnight hours.
This same front will probably generate more showers and storms Monday especially in areas south of Springfield. Generally, the Ozarks should pick up .25-.75 inches of rain, higher in local storms. The coverage may not be complete!
Tuesday and Wednesday will be a lot like last week. Our coolest mornings should be Wednesday.
I have a nice vlog (video log) of the current conditions and forecast here, give it a view!
