South winds will be on the gusty side today. 11 am wind gusts have already topped 30 mph in some areas. Gusts over 30 mph will be typical today out of the south.
Temperatures will be very warm today! 11 am temperatures have gone over eighty everywhere and will stop in the upper eighties in most areas today!
A cool front is on the way. The cooler temperatures are not nearly as important as the possibility of needed rain in the Ozarks.
A few scattered showers may develop in Ozarks during early Sunday afternoon. More extensive areas of rain and some thunderstorms will fill in by early evening. It looks like rains of between a third and a half inch are possible in central Missouri and also in the Lake of the Ozarks area. Locally heavier amounts are possible in a few storms.
Storms are not expected to be severe generally but a few may be strong perhaps producing soem strong wind gusts or small hail. I’d say the best chance for these types of storms would be in southern Missouri and northern Arkansas. Hopefully, these storms will fill in nicely and bring some needed widespread rain to this area.
Cooler weather is due in Monday through Wednesday. Then, it looks like things heat up again toward the end of the week and into the beginning of the Memorial Day weekend. If you haven’t hit ninety yet this spring, it might happen during this time! (Thursday through Saturday).

Would it be possible to include the pollen levels somewhere? I’m an allergy suffer and
it really helps if I know when it’s high and what it is.
Thanks

Marge,
I’ll see what it takes to do this.
