Another cool morning in the Ozarks as lows dropped into the thirties everywhere.
The temperatures are about to swing up into the seventies and stay at that level for a while. North winds today will give way to south to southwesterly winds by Tuesday and especially Wednesday allowing our temperatures to warm up nicely. Wednesday should see eighties in the area and Thursday has a shot at this level of warmth too.
The upper atmosphere will feature warm air aloft which will shift into the area for the rest of the week. A front looks like it will drop into central Missouri by late Wednesday but its support to move through the Ozarks looks doubtful as does its ability to produce meaningful precipitation.
A disturbance will move into the western Great Plains on Thursday where it will interact with higher humidity and unstable air to produce showers and storms out there. This system will send a front our way on Friday which has a somewhat better shot at generating showers and storms in the Ozarks. This front may just hang up around the Ozarks this weekend with additional rain and storm possibilities.
